Before you install Publisher for Raster, make sure your machine meets the necessary requirements.
You must have Administrator rights on your machine to run the installer.

Installing
Double-click the Publisher_for_Raster.exe file.
Note: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 is required to install Publisher for Raster. If it is not installed on your machine, the installation program automatically downloads the necessary installation files. When the files are in place, click Run.
If you are running a new localized installation of Publisher for Raster, choose the language you want to use from the Choose Setup Language list. Note: This dialog box does not appear if you are running a new English installation of Publisher for Raster.
In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
In the License Agreement dialog box, read and accept the terms of the license, then click Next.
In the Destination Folder dialog box, change the default installation destination if needed and then click Next.
In the Ready to Install the Program dialog box, click Install.
After installation is complete, click Activate to immediately activate the software. You can also activate the software on demand from your machine's Start menu.
Activating
You must activate Publisher for Raster before you can use it. If you did not activate the software when the installation process completed, you must activate it from your machine's Start menu.
Activating a trial license

From your computer's Start menu, click All Programs, then TerraGo Technologies > Publisher for Raster > Activate Publisher for Raster.

In the TerraGo License Manager dialog box, choose Trial.

Click Next.

When the activation message appears, click Finish.
Note: When using a trial license, your GeoPDF files will be watermarked.
Activating a standalone license using the Internet

From your computer's Start menu, click All Programs, then TerraGo Technologies > Publisher for Raster > Activate Publisher for Raster.

In the TerraGo License Manager dialog box, choose Standalone and click Next.

Enter your authorization code the Authorization Codes boxes and click Next.

Enter your name in the Contact Name box.

Choose Yes next to Connect to Internet.

The activation process will send both the authorization code and lock code to TerraGo Technologies, validate the license file, and license the product. Click Next.

When the activation message appears, click Finish.
Note: If the activation process cannot successfully license the product, an error message will appear. Click OK. Click the Connected to Internet No button and follow the instructions below.
Activating a standalone license without an Internet connection

From your computer's Start menu, click All Programs, then TerraGo Technologies > Publisher for Raster > Activate Publisher for Raster.

In the TerraGo License Manager dialog box, choose Standalone and click Next.

Enter your name in the Contact Name box.

Choose No next to Connected to Internet.

If this is your first installation of the product and you can gain access to the internet:

Navigate to http://www.terragotech.com/support/activate and provide the authorization code and lock code.

The license file will be emailed to you. Save the license file to your machine, making note of its location.

Click Browse to navigate to the location where you saved the license file or type the path in the field provided.

Click Next. The activation process will validate the license file.

If this is your first installation of the product and you cannot gain immediate access to the internet, contact Technical Support at support@terragotech.com for assistance.

If this is not your first installation of the product, click Browse to navigate to the location on your machine where you saved your license file. Click Next. The activation process will validate the license file.

When the activation message appears, click Finish.
Activating a concurrent license

From your computer's Start menu, click All Programs, then TerraGo Technologies > Publisher for Raster > Activate Publisher for Raster.

In the TerraGo License Manager dialog box, choose Concurrent and click Next.

Enter the name of the concurrent license server, and click Next. The activation process will validate the server.

When the activation message appears, click Finish.
Note: If you are running a concurrent license and no license is available for use, you cannot generate a GeoPDF file or use any preview functionality until a Publisher for Raster license becomes available.
