Publisher for Raster allows you to select an area of interest on the original source image file and then generate a GeoPDF file that includes only that selected area.
In this section:
Selecting a source image file
In the Source Image File text box, type the location path and file name of the source image file. This is a required field. You can also click the ellipsis button to open the Select Source Image File dialog box through which you can navigate to the location of your image file. Select the file and then click Open.
Subsetting the image
Navigate to Actions > Subset Image or click the Subset icon in the toolbar. Use the tools in the Subset box to select, pan, and zoom in and out. Once you have identified the part of the image you want to subset, click Okay.
The Subset Tool allows you to select an area of interest on the original source image file and then generate a GeoPDF file that includes only that selected area.
The Pan Tool allows you to move across the source image file.
Zoom In allows you to zoom in on the source image file.
Zoom Out allows you to zoom out on the source image file.
Fit to Screen

The Subset group box displays the X and Y Origin (pixels) of the selected area, and the Width and Height Dimensions (pixels) of the selected.
To see a preview of your subsetted image, navigate to Preferences > General Settings and check the Automatically generate preview after subsetting box.
Click Clear to remove the values and cancel the subset process.
You can stop the image generation process at any time by clicking Cancel at the bottom right corner of the main window.
