The Peer-to-Peer Collaboration tool allows you to quickly export GeoMarks based on the preferences you specified in the P2P Export pane in the TerraGo Preferences dialog box.

The Peer-to-Peer Collaboration tool allows you to specify:

• preferences such as the preferred annotation type and coordinate system in your exported files

• that the data to be exported always resides in the largest map frame or that you prefer to be prompted to provide the map frame in which the data residesspecify whether your exported .twz file should include the Google Earth .kml file and whether the exported .twz file should include the map

• whether you prefer to be prompted to include additional recipients or comments before exporting your .twz files.

From the GeoMark Toolbar, click TerraGo Collaboration Tool, then Peer-to-Peer Collaboration .

Export settings

Depending upon the preferences you defined on the P2P Export pane in the TerraGo Preferences dialog box, the following scenarios can occur:

Add additional recipients or comments

If Add Additional Recipients or Comments is selected in the Preferences settings, the Peer-to-peer Recipients dialog box will appear. You can select additional peer groups, add more recipients and add comments about your .twz files before exporting them to your peers. Click OK to proceed with the export process.

Any comments also display in the E-mail sent to your peers.

Note: If you have more than one defined group, the Peer-to-peer Recipients dialog box appears each time you use the TerraGo Collaboration Tool:Peer-to-Peer Collaboration whether or not Add Additional Recipients or Comments is selected.

Select additional forms

If Prompt to Select Additional Forms is selected in the Preferences settings, the Form Selector dialog box will appear. Use the Form Selector to choose specific forms to include in the .twz files that you export to your peers. Click OK to proceed with the export process.

Note: You cannot export a GeoForm that is in edit mode in the TerraGo Collaboration Manager.

Specify map frame

If the Specify Map Frame option in the Preferences setting is set to Ask on Send and there is more than one map frame on the GeoPDF file, the Map frame Selector dialog box will appear. Use the Map frame Selector to specify the map frame in which the data resides. Select the map frame name and then click OK to proceed with the export process.

Sending your exported file

Click Send to allow the export process to E-mail the .twz file to your peers.

Verify that the email has been sent by checking the Sent Items folder in your email client.

Troubleshooting

If you are running Adobe Acrobat/Reader X or later in Protected Mode, you may not be able to use Peer-to-Peer Collaboration.

If you are not running in Protected Mode but still encounter an issue, it could be due to constraints within your E-mail Client. Constraints that prevent use of the collaboration feature include an open dialog box in the E-mail Client, data attachment size exceeding the E-mail Client's size restriction and so on.
