The GeoTrack tool contains two tracking tools: Start GPS Track and Hide/Show Flag. The Start GPS Track tool allows you to track the map position of an attached GPS device. Hide/Show Flag displays or hides a flag (marker) that shows your current GPS location on the map.
For instructions on how to access the GeoTrack tool, see Accessing the GeoPDF Toolbar.

Enabling Windows Location Services
The GeoTrack tool uses Windows Location Services to determine the location of your device. Before the GeoTrack tool can track your position, you need to enable Location Services and update your preferences in Adobe Reader.
Enabling location services on your PC
On your PC, navigate to Start > Settings > Privacy > Location. Switch the Allow apps to access your location setting to On. For more on Windows Location Services, see Microsoft's Windows 10 location service and privacy guide.
Disabling Protected Mode in Adobe Reader
Open Adobe Reader and navigate to Edit > Preferences > General. Deselect Enable Protected Mode at startup.
Allowing GeoPDF Toolbar to access your location
In the GPS Options pane of TerraGo Preferences, select AutoDiscover. For more information, see the GPS Options in Setting TerraGo Preferences.
Using a GPS device
To use GPS tracking with a GPS device, your GPS device should display coordinates in the same datum as your GeoPDF file. The projection, however, does not need to be the same. For example, the GPS device may display latitude and longitude while your file displays UTM.
Your GPS device must be able to operate with NMEA-compliant mapping programs via a virtual COMM port. You can obtain the necessary software from the vendor of your GPS device. You may also be able to use other software such as Garmin's Spanner software, their Oregon software, or GpsGate's Client.
