Building applications with PubPy

GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS is an extension of ArcGIS that allows creation of GeoPDF documents. Publisher and ArcGIS Server can be automated and extended using PubPy, allowing for integration of Publisher functionality in ArcGIS geoprocessing toolboxes, ArcGIS for Server applications, etc.

GeoPDF Publisher and ArcGIS Server gives you the power to:

• create on-demand GeoPDFs containing maps and imagery embedded with your intelligence and data,

• leverage the GIS resources of your organization and those on the web,

• use the Esri web APIs, GP services, and peerless rendering engine,

• enable your team and customers to download the tools they need to do their job in the field or on their desktop.

What is PubPy?

PubPy is ArcPy-compatible Python extensions for GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS. With PubPy, you can automate the creation of GeoPDF documents as well as integrate Publisher capabilities into ArcGIS for Server implementations. The design of PubPy closely follows that of ArcPy, so if you know ArcPy, PubPy should come easily. More documentation and tutorials can be found on the PubPy support page.
