Before you install the GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS software ensure that your machine meets the necessary requirements.
You must have Administrator rights on your machine to run the installer.
You must activate the GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS software before you can use it. You can activate the software at the end of the installation process or by following the Activating GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS steps.

Before you install GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS ensure that your machine meets the following hardware and software requirements.

GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS requires Esri ArcGIS 10.5 through 10.8.x

Note: The last version of GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS to support ArcGIS 10.4.x was 7.7.0.20, released February 2020. The last version to support ArcGIS 10.3.x was 7.5.1.32, released March 2019. The last version to support 10.2.x was 7.2.2.15, released July 2017. Please contact TerraGo Support to obtain a copy.
Installing GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS
Before you install GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS, ensure that your machine meets the necessary requirements.
The GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS installation process uses a challenge / response system to insure that the software is installed on only one machine. Should you need to move the GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS software to another machine, you must print and then sign a Certification of Destruction letter, then fax the letter to TerraGo Technologies, Inc. at 678.391.9701.

You must have Administrator rights on your machine to run the installer.

The installation program does not downgrade to a previous version. If you must install a previous version of the software, use the Add/Remove Programs application to uninstall the current version of the software.

To use advanced collaborative features including custom forms for field data collection, project-based collaborative workflows, follow the provided link to install the TerraGo Collaboration Manager.
Installing
Double-click the GeoPDF_Publisher_for_ArcGIS.exe file.
In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
In the License Agreement dialog box, read and accept the terms of the license, then click Next.
In the Destination Folder dialog box, change the default installation destination if needed and then click Next.
In the Ready to Install the Program dialog box, click Install.
After installation is complete, click Activate to immediately activate the software. You can also activate the software on demand from your machine's Start menu.
Uninstalling GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS
You can uninstall Publisher for ArcGIS from either your computer's Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features or the GeoPDF_Publisher_for_ArcGIS.exe file.
Uninstalling from the Control Panel

From your computer's Start menu, access the Control Panel.

Open Programs and Features.

From the list of installed programs, select GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS.

Click Remove.

Click Yes at the confirmation prompt to begin the uninstall process.
Uninstalling from the GeoPDF_Publisher_for_ArcGIS.exe file

Double-click the GeoPDF_Publisher_for_ArcGIS.exe file.

In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

In the Remove the Program dialog box, click Remove.

Click Finish.
Note:
If you attempt to uninstall the current version of the software and encounter the Windows-specific error message, 'r;Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified location exists and is writable.', follow the instructions posted at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2564571 to resolve the issue.
